About Me

Do you believe there’s something MORE that you should be doing with your BUSINESS & YOUR LIFE? Ever felt there is something BIGGER waiting for you! That amazing yearning you have to create an amazing small business and live your life on your own terms!
In 2006, I felt the impact of the dreaded paycheck to paycheck job on my body, my mind and most of all my spirit. I found myself working at my desk in my tiny cubical as a Senior Loan Process for a big Fortune 500 company in Denver Colorado. I saw myself, as an outsider looking in and thought to myself that there had to be something BIGGER for me in my life. Don’t get me wrong I had a decent paying job, cute suburban home but I was completely not playing my career or my life up to my fullest potential which was dreadful to my spirit and my heart. I was stressed about a job that I didn’t find joy in anymore. It wore me down to wake up each morning to an alarm for someone else’s schedule and to make a ton of money for a company that knew me as a number not a name. I worked 60 or more hours a week on deadlines and was waking up in the middle of the night wondering if I had forgotten to do something on one of my client’s files. It was not the way I wanted to spend the rest of my life until my...what I hoped was possible retirement at 60.
It’s never easy, to make such a huge change. I had gotten my Massage Certification in 2000 but felt the pressure to stay at the higher paying and more stable position with the mortgage lender. I had never taken such a risk in my life. I had worked part time jobs doing massage in my spare time but working the mortgage position I never knew if I was going to have to work overtime which impeded on a real part time position. I loved doing massage. It was at this point a hobby and a joy to help people feel better. When my Senior Processing position was no longer a stable position due to mass layoffs with the company I was with, I found a new vision for my future and the possibilities that were about to open up. I started to imagine my life very differently comparing my path as an Employee vs an Entrepreneur! In 2009 I was making my journey towards creating a new career and new life for myself. I worked part-time with a local Massage Studio and a Chiropractor until I had enough money to invest in creating my own business. It was not without a few tears or struggles as I was hit with losing my job and my home (lost to foreclosure) in the mass downfall of the mortgage and real estate recession.
I found that it pushed me even harder going through those struggles though to overcome them and create my own stability and freedom in my career and life. To be honest, I was scared but focused on what my true "Why" was. Knowing your "why" when you are taking action in your life is just about the most motivational thing you can do for yourself. My why... was freedom and joy. I wanted to be happy with what I was doing, not just make money doing it. My income took a huge cut but my spirit flew with joy as I helped people doing something I loved. I was doing something that I was extremely talented and passionate at and it was making people feel great. I adjusted my income and my lifestyle to match the means of which I had to in order to live. It took a year for me to get to a full time schedule accomplished with my schedule booking out almost a full month in advance. Again, there were struggles and things I would do differently now but I felt the taste of freedom and joy in my career and in my lifestyle. I was all in!
My Yellow Brick Road
I realized fast that the Massage business I had been building had it is quarks and needed adjustments. I found myself thinking outside the box for business solutions that would help me retain the hard earned money I was making. I went to school to get my Esthetics license to balance work load with a new skill that was complimentary to my massage work. It was all about finding a way to create balance for making money and keeping my clients while creating a balance for my working hours and free time hours. Work smarter, Not harder… I would tell myself. I liked that I knew I was building something for myself and that I had the freedom to make decisions without permission from anyone else. My business thrived and I worked it for over 12 years.

Starting Over & Doing It Even Better!
I decided to move from my home State of Colorado to the beautiful State of Oregon in 2013. Truly one of the most amazing places I could have moved to but I was sad to put the business into retirement after the amount of joy and success it had given me. I thought I would be able to easily start again in a new location and proceeded to look into recreating my success in Portland. I soon found out it was not as easy as I had hoped.
The first thing I found out was that the Oregon required an exuberant amount of fees just for the state licensing to get my Massage license, Esthetics license, a location license, in addition to a business license. I started out with baby steps by getting my Esthetics license (which was the cheapest for some reason) and the business license. I then proceeded to check to see if I could find a job working for someone so I could eventually get my the other licenses needed. I went jobless for almost 10 months. Spent my savings on everyday living expenses. 2014, I found a unique building that rented out studios to small businesses. I spent my last bit of money on the location licensing and business licensing. SO... I could start to do exactly what I wanted to do AGAIN!
I’ll be honest, it was a challenge to only do skincare without doing massage services also but the licensing and additional credits they were requiring were out of my reach at that time. I had to step up my game to get a new business going. This is when I discovered Social Media Marketing and the possibilities it had for a new business. Learning the social media side of marketing for my business was not easy but it was well worth it. It took me a few months to really get the hang of HOW to make it really work but I eventually found my strategy and the focus to make it work. That’s when awesome things started! I was building my business with 3-5 new clients every week.
It was less work and less money that what I had to invest into building my business in Colorado. I now believe as entrepreneurs and small business owner’s it really is our job to embrace the changes in technology with Social Media definitely being one of our biggest Business Assets! I’ve found the time that I take to learn new tools that could escalate my business to a new level well worth the time and effort. I have had to learn the hard way and now it’s my mission and my passion to help other’s that want to do what I have done with my business and to weed out the unnecessary tasks, projects or the things that I really should have been outsourcing to someone else. With all the knowledge, experience and skills that I gained throughout my career span in both the Mortgage Industry, the Spa Industry and being self-employed with my own business... I can help you do just that.
I have now taken my skills to a new level by educating myself in the Ecommerce niche and creating my own Etsy shop, Amazon Handmade Shop and Shopify Stores. I understand their SEO, marketing and integral technical aspects of getting a shop up and running. If you are more interested in creating and the building of your products then taking the time to do the tedius and confusing tasks of running a store, then I am here to help you so you can focus on the creation of your products and give you that Virtual Lift Up.
Helping Other’s!
I am so grateful that at 47, I’ve had a long lasting caree doing something I love, helping others. I have helped others with my services. I have helped other’s create their own successful business’ and I’ve helped other find the motivation and inspiration to take the way they live their lives into their own hands. I’m free and I want everyone to feel this Freedom! It was not a smooth journey and it took me quite a few years of working hard on my Business & my Life but I now have something to share with people….. my skills, experience and knowledge are now my superpower. I still work hard helping other's with their businesses as Virtual Assistant but more than that I work smarter because of where I have come from with my own business. I love what I do more than anything and I wouldn’t trade the crazy stressed out times of owning my own business and being an entrepreneur for anything. This is not just a job but a passion to help create freedom for my client's and help them grow successful sustainable businesses.
Don’t you think it is time for you to let me help you do the same?
I would love to help you so let me help you!
